This Privacy Policy explains how JDEXE, INC. ("Peazy," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information about you when you use the Peazy application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). It also describes your privacy rights and how to exercise them.
Because Peazy is a relationship and dating service, some of the information you choose to share with us is sensitive. We treat that information with heightened care, and we want you to understand exactly what we collect and why. By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who We Are and Scope
Peazy is operated by JDEXE, INC., a New York corporation. This Policy applies to information we process about Members and visitors in connection with the Service. It does not apply to third-party services we do not control. For residents of certain U.S. states and of the European Economic Area ("EEA") and the United Kingdom ("UK"), additional rights and disclosures appear in Sections 11–13.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
- Registration and account data: phone number, name or display name, date of birth (to confirm you are 18+), and login credentials.
- Profile data: photos, bio, gender, who you are interested in meeting, location/region, and other details you choose to add.
- Compatibility Index responses: the values, beliefs, lifestyle preferences, relationship goals, and other responses you voluntarily provide through our questionnaire. Some of these responses may reveal sensitive information (see Section 3).
- Communications: messages you send to other Members and to us, and content you submit (such as support requests and feedback).
- Payment-related data: if you purchase Paid Services, your transaction is processed by our app-store or payment partners. We receive limited information such as confirmation of purchase and subscription status; we do not collect or store your full payment-card number.
2.2 Information We Collect Automatically
- Device and technical data: device type, operating system, app version, identifiers, language, and crash and diagnostic logs.
- Usage data: features you use, matches and recommendations shown, interactions, and time and frequency of use.
- Location data: approximate or precise location, depending on your device permissions, used to surface nearby matches. You can disable location sharing in your device settings, though some features may not work as a result.
- Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 8.
2.3 Information From Other Sources
We may receive information from app stores, login or verification providers, analytics and security partners, and other Members (for example, if another Member reports your conduct).
3. Sensitive Personal Information
Some Compatibility Index responses and profile details may constitute sensitive personal information under U.S. state laws and/or special categories of personal data under EEA/UK law — for example, information that reveals or relates to your sexual orientation, sex life, religious or philosophical beliefs, political opinions, or health-related matters.
You are never required to provide sensitive information. Where you choose to provide it, you understand that, by submitting it, you are knowingly and voluntarily making it available so that we can provide the core matchmaking function of the Service. Where required by law, we rely on your explicit consent to process this information, and you may withdraw that consent at any time by editing or deleting the relevant responses or your account (see Sections 9 and 11–12). We use sensitive information only to provide and improve compatibility matching and as otherwise described in this Policy, and we do not use or disclose it to infer characteristics about you for purposes beyond providing the Service.
4. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- create and manage your account and verify eligibility (including that you are 18+);
- operate the core matchmaking function — generate compatibility scores, surface and rank potential matches, and provide recommendations;
- enable communication between Members;
- personalize and improve the Service, including developing and refining our matching models and algorithms;
- provide customer support and respond to your requests;
- process transactions and manage subscriptions;
- promote safety and integrity — detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, harmful conduct, and violations of our Terms, and protect Members;
- send service-related and, where permitted, marketing communications (you can opt out of marketing at any time); and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
5. Automated Decision-Making and AI
Peazy uses algorithms and AI-assisted models, including a compatibility-scoring system, to analyze the information you and other Members provide and to generate match recommendations. These outputs are predictions and suggestions; they do not produce legal or similarly significant effects about you, and you remain free to decide whom to connect with. Where required by applicable law, you have the right to obtain information about the logic involved at a general level, and to request human review of certain automated decisions (see Sections 11–12). We do not use these models to make eligibility, credit, employment, or similar consequential decisions about you.
6. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only as follows:
- With other Members: your profile, photos, and certain compatibility signals are shown to other Members as part of the Service. Do not include anything in your profile or messages that you would not want others to see. Messages are shared with the recipient.
- With service providers: vendors that host, store, secure, analyze, support, or process payments for the Service, under contracts that restrict their use of the information to providing services to us.
- For safety and legal reasons: to comply with law, legal process, or governmental requests; to enforce our Terms; and to protect the rights, property, or safety of Peazy, our Members, or others.
- In a business transfer: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to the protections of this Policy.
- With your direction or consent: when you ask us to share information or otherwise consent.
Some sharing for analytics or advertising may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under certain U.S. state laws. See Section 11 for your right to opt out.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, and afterward only as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. Note that information you have shared with other Members (such as messages) may remain visible to them even after you delete your account.
8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We and our partners use cookies, SDKs, and similar technologies to operate the Service, remember your preferences, measure performance, and improve and secure the Service. You can manage cookies through your browser or device settings; disabling them may affect functionality. Where required, we obtain consent before using non-essential cookies. We honor recognized opt-out preference signals (such as Global Privacy Control) where required by law.
9. Your Choices
- Profile and Compatibility Index: you can view, edit, or delete most of your information in the app.
- Location and notifications: manage these through your device settings.
- Marketing: opt out using the unsubscribe link in emails or your in-app settings; we may still send service-related messages.
- Account deletion: you can delete your account at any time in the app or by contacting us.
10. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please protect your login credentials and notify us promptly of any suspected unauthorized access at support@getpeazy.com.
11. U.S. State Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live (for example, California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws), you may have the right to:
- know/access the personal information we collect, use, and disclose about you;
- correct inaccurate personal information;
- delete your personal information;
- portability — obtain a copy in a portable format;
- opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information and of targeted advertising; and
- limit the use of sensitive personal information.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. To exercise them, contact us at privacy@getpeazy.com or use the in-app tools. We will verify your request before responding, and you may use an authorized agent where permitted. You have the right to appeal a decision; instructions will be provided in our response.
California "Shine the Light": California residents may request information about disclosures of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes by contacting us at privacy@getpeazy.com.
12. EEA and UK Privacy Rights (GDPR)
If you are in the EEA or UK, JDEXE, INC. is the controller of your personal data. We process your data on these legal bases: performance of a contract (to provide the Service), consent (for sensitive data, certain marketing, and non-essential cookies — withdrawable at any time), legitimate interests (to secure and improve the Service, prevent abuse), and legal obligation.
You have the rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and object to processing, to data portability, to withdraw consent, and to not be subject to solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects (see Section 5). To exercise these rights, contact privacy@getpeazy.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
International transfers: we may transfer your data to the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum), to protect your data.
13. Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it and terminate the account. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us at privacy@getpeazy.com.
14. Third-Party Links and Services
The Service may link to or integrate third-party services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their privacy policies before providing them with information.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice (for example, by posting the updated Policy with a new "Last Updated" date or notifying you in the Service). Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
